Family Restoration
A primary aim of ours is the restoration of family relationships
The restoring of these connections and relationships can have a huge impact on an individual’s recovery as they find freedom not only from substances, but crucially the hurts, guilt and shame they can feel for mistakes they’ve made; which often lie at the root of addictions.
As part of this, as well as regular phone calls, we place a major emphasis on hosting and providing:
- In person family visits
- Family contact meetings outwith centre
- Online meetings
Service users also have the opportunity for family to provide input into their loved one’s Phase Reviews (every 3 months).
Our women’s centre Benaiah is truly unique in that it allows mothers to continue living with their pre-school children while the parent works on their recovery.
